Important[Important / Fourth report] Temporary deletion of transaction data and stronger security measures
Published: Sunday, October 18, 2026, 12:05
To stores using WASABI SWITCH
Thank you for always using WASABI SWITCH.
We once again deeply apologize for the great concern and inconvenience that this unauthorized access has caused to stores and their customers.
Working with an external cybersecurity firm, our entire company is committed to ensuring safety.
To further strengthen security, we will implement the following measures.
Temporary deletion of transaction information (a measure until safety is confirmed)
Because unauthorized access has been confirmed multiple times, to protect the information of customers and others, we will delete the following transaction information stored in WASABI SWITCH:
- Order information
- Purchase (buyback) information
- Customer information
All transaction information has been saved before deletion. Once it has been organized, we will return it to stores.
We will announce how and when it will be returned.
Date of deletion
During Sunday, October 18
Impact on operations
- You will not be able to process orders in WASABI SWITCH
- You will not be able to process purchases (buybacks) in WASABI SWITCH
- You will not be able to view customer information in WASABI SWITCH
Encryption of registered information (a measure to keep information safe)
We will encrypt the following information registered in WASABI SWITCH so that it is stored in a form third parties cannot read:
- Authentication information for each marketplace
- FTP account information for external integrations
- Email account information
- Authentication information registered in company settings
- WASABI SWITCH API information
In the third report we said this would be applied during Saturday, October 17. We sincerely apologize that it has been delayed.
We are now working to complete it during today, Sunday, October 18, and will let you know once it is complete.
Introduction of multi-factor authentication (a measure to prevent unauthorized logins)
We will soon introduce multi-factor authentication for logging in to STOCK SWITCH and POS Register SWITCH.
We will announce the introduction date and setup method once decided.
WASABI SWITCH already supports multi-factor authentication.
If your store has not yet set it up, please consider doing so to prevent unauthorized logins.

Status of the investigation
The investigation by the external cybersecurity firm is still being analyzed. Results such as the scope of the leaked information are expected on Monday, October 19 (changed from the earlier estimate of "as early as today, Sunday, October 18").
We will report promptly once they are known.
What we ask of stores
- If you have not yet changed your email account passwords, please do so as soon as possible.
- Please also check whether there are any emails you do not recognize in the sending history of your email accounts, and whether settings such as automatic forwarding have been changed.
- Please register the changed password in WASABI SWITCH only after we announce that encryption is complete.
